Our Foundation English Entry Course has been designed specifically for international students who need extra support with their English language skills, before starting a Foundation Studies pogram.
The 10-week course provides the support you need to achieve your English goals so you can begin your journey to UNSW Sydney. You’ll improve your writing, speaking and digital skills, develop independent learning skills and receive individual feedback. When you’ve successfully completed the course, you’ll progress straight into Foundation Studies or Transition Program. No further English tests required!
Taught by highly qualified and experienced teachers, over 95% of students who study FEEC pass and progress directly into a Foundation Studies or Transition Program. No additional English test required.
The FEEC is specially built to prepare you to succeed in the Foundation Studies program of your choice. You’ll develop your skills in presentation, group work, note taking, comprehension, reading academic texts, research, grammar and more.
You can package your FEEC, Foundation Studies program and UNSW degree under one visa, which means one less thing to think about on your learning journey.

The Foundation English Entry Course is designed for international students who need extra skills to start their pathway to UNSW Sydney, with UNSW College.
You will be placed in an appropriate class based on a test score under the following conditions:
The academic calendar consists of important dates throughout your study period such as Orientation, census dates, study weeks, exam weeks and breaks for your program or course of study.

Depending on your level of English, you may need to study an Academic English Program. This may consist of up to 20 weeks of additional English language tuition in our Foundation English Entry Course and Essential Academic English Course.
Orientation dates for Academic English Programs are on the first day of classes. You will receive information about Orientation a few weeks prior to your start date. Census dates for Academic English Programs are 1 week after the first day of classes.
